Bruce Tzu asked: Karo has to be a fan favorite. He even has a win over the current champ but he can’t even get a spot on the preview show? Does the UFC management not like Karo?

Way Smarter Than You asked: By old school UFC I mean using the rules back before they wrecked MMA. You know, no weight divisions, they could wear their Karate bathrobes, no gloves, very few rules. All that stuff.
Follow up question: would the results change if the Sham Wow Guy was allowed to wear his Super Cool MMORPG Headset Microphone?

Which is more stronger?
The Kungfu is really so Mysterious?

Bruce Tzu asked: When I found out that Fitch tied the longest UFC winning streak with 8 consecutive I was shocked.
I guess when you think about it then it is logical even the best lose at times. No one thought GSP would lose and he lsot to Serra. Hughes lost to Penn. Liddell KO’d by Rampage. There are always upsets.
How long do you think the 8 will last?

asked: I don’t think the UFC in not a true Martial Art. There is more to the Martial Arts then who’s bigger or stronger. Don’t get me wrong UFC is ok but it is in know way a true Martial Art. The fighters are not real Martail Artists they are just big men beating the crap out of each outher. That in not what the Martial Arts are about. People just don’t see that.
I do Kendo, Ninpo and Shotokai Karate.

francisjvs asked: I’m pretty sure most top-level UFC fighters cut weight before the weigh-in in order to be big for their division when fight day comes. For example, Matt Hughes (a 170-pound fighter) looks to be more like 185 pounds when he fights.
If you could, please answer this too:
How much weight do these weight-cutting UFC fighters usually gain after their weigh-in? How much heavier are they in the actual fight? 10, 15, 20 pounds over their division maximum?
Thanks in advance.
