Maybe people care more about training themselves than watching people fight in a style of sports which has rules.

It’s a martial arts section. That encompasses fans of MMA competition, as well as practitioners (The majority being the latter, or a mix of both like myself) of all martial arts. None of the Y! answers sports sections are exclusive to fans, even though certain ones sometimes do cater more to fans (Or the fans make the area like the wrestling section).
We’re not just here to talk about the matches. We’re here to live, learn, ask, receive, compare, and so forth. lol

I would suggest that MMA isn’t really as popular as some of us want to believe it is. It sure doesn’t have as many dedicated fans as most other sports.
