    Ken C asked:

I’ve been looking around several answers about female mma, and most seem to believe the women mma doesn’t attract the numbers. But looking at fighters like Gina Carano, isn’t it reasonable to think that a women’s division could attract a following in UFC? Isn’t the a big part of EliteXC surviving because of Carano/Santos?

Women’s MMA doesn’t have a big following. It’s more like Gina Carano has a big following. They’d probably only consider it if they could find a girl as hot as her. Even then, I doubt they’ll open a female division. It’s far too fringe to be lucrative.
